Well, 2021 is starting off very similarly to 2020.. in the sense that we’re in a full lockdown again. What does this mean for real estate?
-> Short-term rentals for recreational purposes are effectively closed as of January 12th, 2021. If a booking was made prior to Jan 12th, it is permitted to go forward.
-> Renovations that started before January 12th will be permitted to continue, however, those that have not started are not permitted to.
Under the Provincial State of Emergency, real estate will continue to operate as an essential service. However, this doesn’t mean business as usual. Our brokerage, RE/MAX Real Estate Centre Inc., has advised us to rigorously follow Health Canada guidelines in all areas of business. We are using the tools that are available to us, to work with clients virtually.
Kelsi & Co. is committed to following all guidelines in place, to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19. If we are assisting a client in person, we are following these strict protocols:
-> Face Masks
-> Hand-washing & Sanitization when entering and exiting a property
-> Virtual Meeting and Staging Consultations
-> Electronic Signatures
It is still a sellers market with low inventory so if you are curious about what your home is worth, we are happy to help! Our team has been offering Virtual Home Evaluations for the last few months, and they are especially helpful during this current lockdown. How does this work? We use technology such as FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom to take a virtual tour of your home. Then along with comparables, we’re able to let you know the value of your home, without even stepping inside in the place!
If you have any questions for the team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Remember, we’re all in this together!
