Relocating to Burlington

Thinking of moving to Burlington? That’s not surprising to hear; lots of people are choosing our beautiful city as their next spot to settle down in. And why not? If you take a drive through different areas, you’ll see an abundance of of parks and green space, our beautiful waterfront, Spencer Smith Park, tons of restaurants & places to shop, access to highways. We have it all & now we just need you!

The next step is to think about the process of relocating, which can seem overwhelming. It doesn’t have to be. Here are a list of helpful resources to make your transition go smoothly.

Another way to get involved in the community is to introduce yourself to your new neighbours and chat with them about the area. You can also check out local exhibits, events or join a local meet-up group to make friends and get exposed to things that go on in the community you may not know of otherwise. Try and make new friends through work. If you have kids, sign them up for lessons or team sports; this is a great option because it involves your family.

Using social media is actually another great way to connect with people. Browse hashtags such as #BurlON, #BurlOnt, #BurlingtonOntario, #Halton and see what people are saying. Follow interesting accounts. Introduce yourself to, and engage with, local people.

The most important advice I can share is to find a realtor that you trust, and who knows Burlington like the back of their hand. This is essential – it will really help give you peace of mind knowing the person you’re working with to find your dream home is knowledgeable about the city & local community. In my case, I was born and raised in the East end of Burlington & have built my business around the value I can add to your experience by growing up, living, and working in our beautiful city.

Hopefully the ideas that I’ve shared with you will really help the whole process. All you need to do now is call, text or email me and we’ll get started! (905) 320-8828 | kelsi@remaxcentre.ca
